Selling your radios

Who pays to ship the radios to you?

We do. We cover shipping & handling and provide complimentary UPS pickup. For larger orders our staff will pick up the equipment from your location, and we may provide incentives to compensate your team for the time involved in packing.

What types of radio equipment do you purchase?

Portable and mobile radios, base stations, repeaters, and accessories such as chargers and speaker microphones. All equipment must be in working condition. Be as detailed as possible on the offer-request form — it speeds up the quote.

Do you purchase ham, FRS, or GMRS radios?

No, we only purchase commercial radios.

Do you purchase parts and accessories?

Yes. Include them on your offer request and we’ll factor them into the quote.

How quickly will I get an offer?

Most quotes go out within 1 business day, and many on the same day depending on the size of the inventory.


Programming, encryption, paperwork

Can you remove programming from our old radios?

Yes. Programming removal is part of every disposition. Let us know in your offer request if you need formal documentation alongside it.

Do you assist with legal and compliance issues?

Our experienced team navigates state and federal regulatory requirements to ensure equipment is disposed of properly. We also hire federally-authorized vendors to assist in this commitment.

Will I receive a certificate of disposition?

Yes. Every asset is recorded at the serial level and you receive documentation suitable for audit and internal records.

Is Radiowell an electronic waste recycler?

No. We are a specialty provider of asset disposition services for radio equipment. We partnered with one of America’s largest electronic waste recycling firms to handle non-functional equipment.

What do you with the equipment you receive?

The vast majority of equipment is stripped for parts and used to repair out-of-warranty radio equipment.


Getting paid

How long until I get paid?

Most sellers are paid in 7–14 days from quote acceptance — inspection happens at our depot once the freight arrives.

Can I use my trade-in credit locally?

Yes. We can apply your trade-in equipment toward the purchase of new equipment sold by most authorized radio dealers.

What payment methods do you offer?

Company check is standard. Trade-in credit and ACH are available for qualifying clients.
